Funeral services for Willie James Charanza, 71, of Caldwell, were held at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, May 3, 2022, in the chapel of Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Caldwell.
He died peacefully on Wednesday, April 27, 2022.
Willie was born on Dec. 1, 1950, to Willie and Martha (Zgabay) Charanza in Bryan, Texas.
He attended school in both Deanville and Caldwell.
Willie met the love of his life, Kathryn Lucille Glover and they married on Dec. 17, 1977. To this union came their beloved son, James Jason.
Willie served in the U.S. Army. His speciality was mechanics.
Upon his discharge, he enjoyed working in drywall with his brother until his retirement.
Willie never lost the love of tinkering with cars, tractors and other equipment around his farm. He loved family and spending time with friends.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Kathryn Charanza; one son; and two brothers,.
His family and friends were incredibly blessed for his life here on earth, and they look forward to seeing him again in Heaven. Willie was dearly loved by all who knew him, and he will be sorely missed. Express condolences at PhillipsandLuckey.com.
