A memorial service for Ernest Wayne Hamilton, of College Station, Texas, formerly of Caldwell, will be held from 1-5 p.m. on Saturday, May 21, 2022, in the home of Linda Hamilton at 1115 Westover St. College Station, Texas.
Wayne was born on March 25, 1949, in Austin, Texas, to Albert W. and Betty Jo Shafer Hamilton.
Wayne was a loving and intelligent person. He never met a stranger and could talk to anyone about anything.
His hobbies were creating art work on wood.
Wayne was a member of the Numismatic Club.
He enjoyed reading the books he collected over the years.
Wayne loved taking care of his plants.
Wayne was a veteran of the Vietnam war and after being discharged from the service he married the girl across the street.
He died on Thursday, April 12, 2022.
Wayne is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Linda Hamilton; one daughter and son-in-law; six grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one brother-in-law; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Wayne will be truly missed by all who knew him, with his words of wisdom, jokes and laughter.
