A Celebration of Life for Frances Lucille Baasen Fillip, 78, of Caldwell, was held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Caldwell.
Frances was born on Sept. 27, 1943, to Rudolph and Lou Allie Baasen in Giddings, Texas. She was one of six siblings.
Frances met her true love and future husband, Henry Fillip, in Caldwell, Texas, and they were married in September 1973. In May of the following year they were blessed with their only daughter, Kristal Gayle Fillip.
Frances loved to cook. Frances enjoyed traveling to the beach, gardening and baking, and solving jigsaw and crossword puzzles.
Frances loved her beloved furry companion, Rocky.
Frances was a member of the Cooks Point Methodist Church as a child, but later in life attended the Cowboy Church in Caldwell.
She died peacefully on Thursday, May 19, 2022.
Frances is survived by one daughter; three brothers; her grandchildren; one stepson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
