ALBINA FRIEDA

Albina Mary Ratjen Frieda, 97, of Caldwell, Texas, passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2022, in Bryan, Texas.

A public visitation was held in her honor on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the chapel at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Caldwell.

A funeral service was held on Thursday, June 29, 2022, at 10:00 a.m., at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home.

Albina was born on No-vember 20, 1924, daughter of Emil and Alvina Odstrcil Ratjen.

She attended the Second Creek School in Burleson County.

After graduating she worked for Leisure Lodge Nursing Home and also was an amazing homemaker.

Beanie was an excellent cook. She made the best kolaches, chicken noodle soup and many other delicious dishes. She rarely ever used a recipe and everything was made from scratch.

Beanie also loved fishing, working in the vegetable garden and flower beds. Shop ‘til you drop was also high on the list of things she loved, and this one of the wonderful things she passed along to her daughters.

She loved to go dancing at the VFW and socialize with all her friends.

Beanie is survived by her daughters, Joyce Ann Beseda and her husband, Bob, and Carolyn Jane Andrus and her husband, Jerry; sons, Donald Ray Frieda and his wife, Debra, Frank “Bubba” Frieda and his wife, Laurie, and Glenn Patrick Frieda and his wife, Sherry; and her sister-in-law, Dora Dee Frieda Creekman; grandchildren, Melissa, Dena, Randi, Rhonda, William, Brook, Jackie, Marsha, Jay Beaux, Johnathan, and Nathaniel; as well as 18 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-greatgrandchildren.

She is preceded in death by parents, Emil and Alvina Odstrcil Ratjen; husband, Frank J. Frieda; her brother, Edmond Ratjen; and her son, Billy Joe Frieda.

Albina “Beanie” loved the Lord, her friends and family with all her heart. She was loved dearly and will be sorely missed.
