Bobby Frederick “Fred” Galbreath passed away on October 31, 2022.
The memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on November 26, 2022, at Strickland Funeral Home in Caldwell, Texas.
Fred was born to Marguerite Hamilton Galbreath and G.J. Galbreath on December 23, 1938, in Austin, Texas. Fred grew up in Texas City, Texas.
He graduated from Texas City High School and Southwest Texas.
Fred taught school for 33 years as well as coaching football and basketball.
He retired from Clear Lake High School outside of Houston where he was the Varsity Girls Basketball Coach.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents, Marguerite and G.J. Galbreath.
He is survived by his wife, Fran Lloyd Galbreath; his six children, Rick Galbreath, Pam Marvin and husband, Paul, Melanie Ellis and husband, David, Jan Hoffman, Lloyd Rainey and wife, Laura, and Ed Rainey and wife, Casey. He has 25 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Maxine Wray; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. His dogs, Sadie and Nellie, miss him very much.
