WILLIAM SWABADO

William Ray Swabado, 79, passed away January 15, 2023, in Houston.

Visitation is Friday, January 20, 2023, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Strickland Funeral Home.

Services are Saturday, January 21, 2023, from 12 p.m. at Strickland Funeral Home with Pastor Dr. Dearing Garner officiating.

Internment will be at

Oaklawn Cemetery.

William was an avid reader and world traveler. His last big adventure took him to India. One of his favorite places to visit was his hometown of Mount Pleasant, Ohio.

When he wasn’t traveling the world, he like to watch his favorite college football teams: “LSU” and “Ohio State.”

William also loved to go polka dancing, exercise and be on the family farm.

William was preceded in death by his parents, William Frank Swabado and Virginia Caroline Pitner; Julius and Nellie Banys; son-in-law, Mark Becton; mother and father-in-law, Marie and Milton Lewis; and sister-in-law, Karey Swabado.

William leaves behind to cherish his memory wife, Betty Swabado; daughters, Pamela Elliott and husband, Jon, Tanya Schneider and husband, Brian, and Natasha Becton; brother, Danny Swabado; sister, Carol Ann Wynn and husband, David; grandchildren, Holden Jenkins, Justin Brock, Paige Elliott, Tayton Schneider, Aven Schneider, Maya Becton, Preston Becton, and Garrett Becton; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Pallbearers are Holden Jenkins, Justin Brock, Tayton Schneider, Aven Schneider, Patrick Loper and David Wynn.

Memorials can be made to a charity.
