A funeral service for Albert Lovis Bennett Sr., 86 of Alba, Texas, was held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 30, 2023, at Strickland Funeral Home.
Albert was born on Dec. 23, 1936, in Dallas, Texas, to Charlie Bennett and Opal Viola Hudgens.
He married Aline Narmour, in Durant, Oklahoma, on Feb. 2, 1970.
Al enjoyed telling big stories and funny jokes to make everybody laugh. He has trained a family full of great storytellers.
But most of all, Al loved his family. Family could not be around him without him taking multiple hugs and giving love.
He is a retired military veteran. Al enlisted in the Army in 1955 and retired from the reserves in 1996.
He died on Jan. 26, 2023. He is survived by five children; and numerous grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, and greatgreat- grandchildren, totaling 80.
