A Celebration of Life for Guy F. Barrett, Jr., 77, of Bryan, Texas, was held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2023, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home, Caldwell.
Guy was born on Thursday, Aug. 30, 1945, in Lufkin, Texas, to Guy F. Barrett, Sr. and Mary Barrett (Davis).
He married Jean Dyess on April 26, 1983.
Guy, fondly known by those who loved him as “Poppy,” loved his family dearly and was a friend to all.
He will always be remembered for his ability to make people laugh, his contagious smile and warm heart.
He died on Sunday, Jan. 29, 2023.
He is survived by his wife Jean Barrett; six daughters; fifteen grandchildren; and twenty-five great-grandchildren.
