Alfred Richard Neuenhoff

Alfred Richard Neuenhoff, 94, was born in Bronx, New York, to Johannes August Neuenhoff of Dortmund, Germany and Maria Huesgen, of Essen-Werden.

He loved the Marines and served in World War II and Korea. He then served as a Washington, D.C., police officer on the motorcycle unit. He went on to run his own trucking company.

He met his bride, Carole Jackson, in Washington, D.C. They were married May 5, 1956, and had 3 children, Michael, Stephen and Maria.

A hard worker, Big Al believed every day was “bring your kid to work day.”

He was a devoted father, grandfather and husband.

He loved woodworking and turning. He showered those he loved with his creations.

Alfred loved life and loved a good laugh. He was an optimistic realist.

He died on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at home in Caldwell, Texas.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Carole Neuenhoff; two sons; one daughter; one brother; one sister; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
