Celebration of Life for Laverne Howard,75, will be held at 3 p.m. on May 6, 2023, at the Burleson County Cowboy Church in Caldwell, Texas 77836.
She was born on Jan. 5, 1948, to Wilbur and Ann Kettler of Houston.
She started dating the love of her life, Melvin, on Nov. 15 1964, and they were married on Feb. 11, 1968.
Laverne and her husband were blessed with two sons, Kenneth and Kevin.
Laverne worked at College Hills Elementary as a Cafeteria Manager from 1983 to 1999.
She and her husband opened a resale shop called L & M in 2001.
They opened another shop called Whistle Stop in Somerville in 2010.
Laverne and her family have been a part of the Somerville community for the past 41 years.
She loved her family, gardening, and her lotto.
She died peacefully at her home on Monday, April 17, 2023.
