Esther was born on July 25, 1933, to William Emil and Louise Marie (Schubert) Krueger near the Lyons Community. She was one of five siblings.
As a child, Esther attended the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lyons, Texas, with her family where she was baptized and confirmed.
She met her future husband, Joe Louis Shupak, in the small community of Prairie Dale near Caldwell, Texas, where they lived as neighbors. They later married on November 29, 1952, at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Frenstat,Texas, andmoved to Houston in 1954 after Joe returned from serving in the army. They resided there for approximately 14 years before returning to Burleson County to the property they still own today.
To this union, came two daughters, Sandra Jo and Diane Marie.
While their children were young, Esther and Joe really enjoyed many nights of dancing with family and friends in the community.
Esther was very instrumental with helping Joe throughout the years. On a daily basis, she would help him with many tasks including his sheetrock business during earlier years and tending to their cattle, chickens, hay and land in general over the past several decades.
Esther loved spending time with her family and friends.
She took great pride in cooking and baking delicious food with her German touch. Holidays were always overloaded with many of her favorite foods. She also loved gardening, canning vegetables, and having a beautiful yard. She enjoyed her many years of tending to her chickens and selling eggs.
She was a wonderful caregiver to many and spent much of her young life babysitting other children whom she treated as her very own and later helped special friends who needed an extra hand.
Later in life, Esther became a member of the Elizabeth Lutheran Church in Caldwell Texas.
Esther had a true servant’s heart and loved to spend time with her family and many friends. She is known to many for her genuinely sweet and kind spirit.
