Memorial Services for Patricia “Patsy” Louise Rek Kistner, 75, of La Grange, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at Fayetteville Brethren Church.
Patsy was born on Dec. 22, 1947, in La Grange, Texas, to Josef Ludwig “Joe” and Edith (Hruska) Rek.
She was baptized, confirmed, and married at Fayetteville Brethren Church at Ross Prairie.
Patsy was a 1966 graduate of Robert E. Lee High School in Houston, Texas.
She was a hard worker and had many occupations over the years.
She loved to plant flowers and shrubs.
Patsy was a beautiful, generous, giving person who loved her family dearly.
She always spoke very fondly of life on the farm outside of Fayetteville.
Patsy was proud of her Czech heritage and her family’s roots in Fayette County.
She died on Monday, May 15, 2023, at Monument Hill Nursing Center in La Grange.
Patsy is survived by one daughter; one son-in-law; one son; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters; one brother-in-law; and many cousins, a niece, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
