Antone Raymond Schrader, 93, of Caldwell, Texas, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Monday, July 3, 2023.
Visitation was held on July 6, 2023, from 5-7 p.m. at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Caldwell.
Funeral services were held on July 7, 2023, at 9 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Frenstat, with Rev. Melvin Dornak officiating.
Burial followed at Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery.
Antone was born on May 31, 1930, to Henry andAnnie (Sablatura) Schrader in Caldwell, Texas.
He had one sibling, Josephine Seibert.
He married the love of his life, Joann Urbanovsky, on April 16, 1966, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. To this union came three children.
Antone was known to many by his nickname Tony.
He worked at Sablatura’s Grocery Store for over 50 years.
Tony spent many years fixing small engines, lawn mowers, weed eaters, and chainsaws.
He enjoyed caring for his cows and other animals around the farm and he loved to dance around the house to polka music.
He was a lifelong member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Frenstat where he ushered and helped count Sunday offerings. Tony helped with the annual Bazaar each year.
He was a kind and loving man who was always willing to lend a hand. Many admired his contagious smile and great sense of humor. He was very loved and will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.
Antone was preceded in death by his parents; and a child, Cynthia Ann Schrader.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Joann Schrader; his son, Charles Schrader and girlfriend, Phuong Co, of Brenham; daughters, Barbara Schrader of Bryan, and Patricia and husband, James Jennings, of Caldwell; his grandchildren,Amber and husband, Holden Garrett, Dylan Jennings, and Kyle Jennings. He was blessed with one greatgranddaughter, Braydee Ann Garrett, whom he loved and adored very much.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Hospice Brazos Valley or Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery in Frenstat, Texas.
