Lucille Farr was born on Feb. 24, 1950, in the Mount Zion community in Caldwell, Texas.
Growing up in the Mount Zion community was full of love and laughter. Lucille was affectionately known as “Pokey” by all that knew and loved her.
Lucille began her faithful journey attending Galilee Baptist Church in Caldwell, Texas.
She attended Freeman High School and later attended Job Corp in San Marcos, Texas.
She returned to Caldwell where she served as a cook for many years working at Jake’s restaurant and St. Joseph Manor for 20 plus years.
Lucille loved playing bingo and cards as well as watching all sporting events and rooting for her favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys.
She also loved watching Venus and Serena Williams dominate the tennis world.
Lucille had a passion for plants and working in her yard.
She is survived by her children; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; her siblings; and a host of other family and friends.
