Mark was born on March 29, 1962, in Independence, Iowa, to Carol Marie Feick Young and John Oliver Young.
Mark worked in the oilfield for over 32 years.
He was a kind man, and a gentle soul who loved his family and friends. He was always there when you needed him. He was the ultimate good guy who helped everyone.
He loved rock and roll music, building model cars, working on cars, riding his riding lawnmower, and spending time with his grandaughter. They were two peas-in-a-pod.
His favorite food and drink were sirloin steak and unsweet iced tea.
He loved animals and the simple things in life.
He passed away on July 22, 2023, surrounded by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Carol Feick Young; father, John Oliver Young; uncles, Harvey Feick and Larry Fyke; and aunts, Arlene Feick and Marian Feick.
He is survived by his sister, Trina Marie Young; legal wife, Bonnie Young; best friend and fianceé, Michelle Wilson; stepkids, Aaron Lee Winder and Alexandra Nicole Winder; grandaughter, Ayliah Michelle Morris (the light of his life); uncle, Ken Feick and his wife, Carol Rozell; cousin, Cathy Feick Hutcheson and her children, Kimberly Hutcheson, Christina Hutcheson, Laura Hutcheson (son, James Hutcheson), and Matthew Hutcheson (wife, Mikie, and daughter, Oaklynn); cousin, Karen Lopez and her son, Joseph Anthony Lopez Jr. (fianceé, Kailey), and Britany Davis (children, Anna and Caden); and cousin, Donna McGilberry and her children, Ashley McGilberry Kight (husband, Blake, and daughter, Amelia), and Christoper McGilberry; and longtime friend, Michael Keith Winder.
A memorial service will be held for family and friends at a later date.
