Funeral service for Loretta Davis Ellis will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 26, 2023, at Strickland Funeral Home in Somerville.
Loretta Davis was born on Nov. 22, 1955, to Albert Davis Jr. and Versie B. Davis.
She became a member to Christ’s Church at an early age.
She attended and completed Emmett J. Scott School and went to work for the Brenham State School.
Loretta married Milton Ellis and divorced sometime after.
Loretta will be missed by all who knew her.
She died on Aug. 15, 2023, in Somerville.
Loretta is survived by one daughter; one son; one sister; one sister-in-law; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
