A Mass of Christian Burial for Jesus Gutierrez, 52, of Somerville, Texas, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 19, 2023, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Somerville.
Jesus was born on Dec. 24, 1970, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to Jaun Pablo Gutierrez and Herminia (Flores) Gutierrez.
Jesus married the love of his life, Sofia Heredia, on May 19, 1994, in Caldwell, Texas.
Jesus worked the oil rigs and the petroleum business most of his life starting around 17 years old. He was a very hard worker.
Some of his hobbies were fishing, cooking, making his own spices and sauces, shooting pool, listening to music, joking and especially arguing with his friends and family.
His favorite football team was the Pittsburg Steelers.
He was also a very good dancer.

Probably his favorite thing to do was spending time with his family and friends.
He died on Oct. 14, 2023, at his home.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sofia Gutierrez; four sons; one sister; one granddaughter; his mother; four brothers.
