DEBRA HOWARD

Debra Howard, 66, of Caldwell, passed away Friday, November 15, 2024, in Temple.

A Celebration of Life Service was held Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at noon at the Caldwell Assembly Church in Caldwell. Austin Powell and Pastor Jacob Roach officiated.

The family received guests from 11:00 a.m. to noon for a public viewing and gathering.

Debra was born December 7, 1957, in Jefferson, to parents Cleo and Bessie (Wood) Powell.

She married Louis Howard, June 26, 1991, in Houston.

A few things about Debra were, she was an incredibly good cook, loved to travel, she loved working with her plants and was a very hard worker. She enjoyed life to the fullest and loved her family, especially her children.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cleo and Bessie Powell; a son, Jeffrey Belless; a brother, Randal Powell; a brother-in-law, James Chapline; and a nephew, Larry Don Powell.

Debra is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, Louis Howard of Caldwell; three sons, Travis Belless and wife, Brenna, of Caldwell, Louis Howard Jr. and wife, Emilie, of College Station, and Joe Howard of Brenham; daughter, Beth Markwardt of Cypress; daughter-in-law, Ana Gaucin of Caldwell; two brothers, Lawrence Wayne Powell and wife, Carol, and Jerry Lynn Powell and wife, Jerry Ann, of all of Jefferson; brother-in-law, Jesse Howard and wife, Charlotte, of Caldwell; sister, Linda Chapline of Elkhart; sister-in-law, Gayla Zientek and husband, Norman, of Caldwell; sister-in-law, Liz Powell of Jefferson; mother-in-law, Janelle Howard; grandchildren, Jordan Brickman and wife, Joanna, Parker Belless, Hayley Belless, Adrian Belless, Nevaeh Gallegos, Anthony Gallegos, Zachery Belless, Rachel Belless and Sammy, Damion Belless, Garrett Dyall, Mackenzie Dyall, Tommy Markwardt and Andrew Markwardt; also by numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Serving as pallbearers were Travis Belless, Louis Howard Jr., Jordan Brickman, Parker Belless, Zachery Belless and Damion Belless.
