Jay met and married the love of his life, Cheri Hatcher, and together they shared 44 years of love. To this union eight children were born.
In 1987, Jay and Cheri moved to Caldwell making it their home for over 37 years.
He worked hard to provide for his family his entire life and was very proud of his children and grandchildren.
Jay enjoyed working outside on his homestead and spending time with his family.
He was a member of First Baptist Church in Caldwell and dearly loved by his church family and friends.
Jay’s family is so very grateful for his life and his devotion to faith and family.
Jay was preceded in death by his parents, Hanson and Martha Teague; his sister, Vicki Greenwood; and his granddaughter, Clara Muzny.
Jay is survived by his loving wife, Cheri Teague; sons, Coleton Teague and his wife, Caitlin, and Kody Teague and his wife, Macie; daughters, Deanna and her husband, Cable Hott, Holly and her husband, Wade Giesenschlag, Dennis Jay Teague, 68, of Caldwell, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Friday, December 27, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.
A public visitation will be held on Sunday, January 5, 2025, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Caldwell from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 6, 2025, in the chapel at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Caldwell at 10 a.m.
Jay was born on June 26, 1956, to Hanson and Martha Teague in Many, Louisiana. He was one of eight siblings.
Ashley and her husband, Mitchell Charanza, Kimberly and her husband, Jacob Bruno, Kelsey and her husband, Kevin Muzny, and Bailey and her husband, Sebastian Quaid; grandchildren, Aileen Giesenschlag, Imogen Hott, Lorelei Giesenschlag, Briley Hott, Declan Hott, Augustus Giesenschlag, Joseph Charanza, Hallie Muzny, Ryan Bruno, Abigail Hott, Asher Bruno, Samuel Charanza, Eli Muzny, Liam Bruno, Callie Teague, Cullen Teague, Oliver Quaid and Tucker Teague; siblings, Rosalind Watkins, Sandra Brupbacher, Patricia King, Garland Teague, Dwight Teague and Mark Teague.
