A memorial service for George Richard Shryock of Somerville, was held from 11:00 a.m. to noon on Friday, Dec. 27, 2024, at Strickland Funeral Home in Somerville.
George was born on Sept. 25, 1936.
George was the kind of person who could light up a room with his pride for his loved ones.
George had a knack for fixing things, and as the song says, “Folks drove the cars from miles around and let ‘em look underneath the hood.”
George was a loving husband and a remarkable father.
George’s legacy of unconditional love and quiet strength will live on in those who were blessed to share in his life.
He died on Dec. 20, 2024. He is survived by his wife, Mary Sue Shryock; three children; four grandchildren; and three greatgrandchildren.
