Larry Roy Dworsky, 56, of Deanville passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2025.
A public visitation was held on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. in the chapel at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Caldwell.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at Burleson County Cowboy Church with Brother Harvey Abke officiating.
Larry was born on April 27, 1968, in Caldwell to Roy and Bernadine Dworsky (Pivonka).
He loved and was very devoted to his family and friends. Larry had a very compassionate heart for others. He donated generously to help those in need and to causes he believed in. His greatest joy was his family. His nephews and their families were everything to him and he was an honorary uncle to many.
Larry’s favorite pastime was giving rides on his four-wheelers and utility vehicles.
He was a loyal, dedicated and hard worker. He worked for Valmont Industries in Brenham for 25 years and previously worked for the Union Pacific Pipe Yard in Warda and for Jones Welding in Deanville.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Bernadine Dworsky; and stepfather, C.W. Gerland; and his grandparents.
He is survived by his sister, Bernadette Johnson and her husband, Chris; nephews, Travis Johnson and his wife, Lauren, and Jacob Johnson and his wife, Autum; greatnieces and nephews, Alexa, Maddie, Jameson and Jace Johnson; as well as his stepdaughter, Janness Grimes and her husband, Randy, and her daughter, Natalie.
Larry wanted to keep the Dworsky name remembered always in Deanvillle, so his family encourages donations to be made in his memory to any of the following entities: Deanville Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Serving as pallbearers were Travis Johnson, Jacob Johnson, John Laffere, Carl Gammage, Bennie Jones and Jason Williford. Honorary pallbearers will be Chris, Alexa, Maddie, Jameson and Jace Johnson.
