Andrzej Marian Dziobala, also known as Andrew, was born in Opatow, Poland, on February 2, 1951, the son of Leon and Sabina Dziobala.
He was called home to the Lord on February 26, 2026.
Following the death of his parents, Andrew, at the age of 18 moved to Caldwell along with his brother, Mark and sister, Casie.
Upon arrival, they were welcomed by several families, including Dr. and Mrs. Joe C. Smith. Ben and Matt Kocurek wel-comed all three children into their home with loving arms, this made the Kocurek family extend from five children to a new total of eight who were loved equally.
Andrew was a man of few words, but he saved them for when they counted the most. Very down to earth and didn’t need much to make him happy.
He loved to read and that knowledge stayed with him. He also loved to fish.
Andrew worked along with brother Mark at MD Construction until the passing of his brother Mark. Then he went to work for Burleson County Commissioner David Hilderbrand, Precinct 3.
Andrew was preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Sabina Dziobala; grandmother, Maria Jedrzejewska; half-brother, Jan Zacheusz Dziobala, all of Poland; brother, Mark Dziobala; and extended family, Ben and Matt Kocurek of Caldwell.
Survivors include sister, Casie McCorquodale and husband, Randy; nephew, Jason McCorquodale and wife, Regina; great-nephew, Jason McCorquodale II; niece, Hannah Southernwood and husband, Tim; great-nephew, Carter Southernwood; greatniece, Haven and Josie Southernwood; sister-inlaw, Sue Dziobala and husband, John Miears.
Extended Kocurek family, Mary Jane Albert and husband, Merv, Mike Kocurek, Robert Kocurek, Steve Kocurek and wife, Kathy, Diana Atchison and husband, Ken; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was loved by all and will be missed. We will cherish our memory of Andrew, and he will be forever in our hearts.
