Graveside services for Dewey Franklin Deutsch, 89, were held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 14, 2020, at the Caldwell Masonic Cemetery, with Pastor Wayne Calder officiating.
Viewing and visitation were held an hour before the services at the cemetery.
Mr. Deutsch died peacefully on Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2020, at his home in Birch Creek Forest.
Dewey Deutsch was born on July 19, 1931, in Caldwell to Franklin Krueger Deutsch and Eunice Adelle (Burney) Deutsch.
Dewey enjoyed riding motorcycles and was the founder of Houston Texas Chapter of H.O.G. Harley Owners Group.
He was also the former Chief of the Birch Creek Forest Volunteer Fire Department.
Dewey was also on the Birch Creek Planning and Zoning Board and the Birch Creek Recreation Water Supply Board.
He took great pride and responsibility with each of these positions and made sure things were done correctly.
As a ‘side job’ he was the `Event DJ’ for his subdivision.
Dewey enjoyed tinkering with old electronics and fixing old record players.
He was a man with many talents.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Minnie Aurelia (Miller) Deutsch; his parents, Franklin Krueger Deutsch and Eunice Adelle (Burney) Deutsch; and his sister, Rita Dunagan.
Dewey is survived by his two daughters, Beverly Deutsch and Carolyn Elaine Deutsch; his grandchildren, Dustin Summer Logan, Adale Rene Kolenovsky, and Theresa Ann Kolenovsky; his great-grandchildren, Joshua Summer Logan, Madison Smith, and Alora Elaine Domel; his niece, Norma Stiglich; and his nephew, Patrick Dunagan.
