A memorial service for Russell Arthur Rector, 68, of Somerville will be held in the near future.
Mr. Rector died peacefully on Monday, Dec. 21, 2020.
Russell was born on October 19, 1952, in Pasadena, Texas, to Russell and Elizabeth Rector.
He served in the United States Marine Corps from 1969 to 1970 where he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal.
Russell was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Family was always his priority, and he loved teaching his sons to hunt and fish.
He was a faithful friend and a loving husband.
He will be missed dearly.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Russell is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Rector; his sons, William Albert Rector, James Patrick Rector, and wife, Katie, Nathan Rector and wife, Lori, and Trapper John Rector and wife, Charli; his daughters, Deborah Elaine Black and husband, Douglas, and Angela Maxine Taylor and husband, Bobby; his brothers, Johnny Rector, and wife, Clara, and James Rector and wife, Joy; and numerous grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.
