A Mass of Christian Burial for Ramon S. DeLeon, 71, of Caldwell, was held from 10-11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 23, 2021, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Caldwell.
Rosary was recited at 9:30 a.m.
Mr. DeLeon died suddenly on Saturday, March 20, 2021.
Ramon was born on Aug. 30, 1949, in Caldwell to Jose DeLeon and Angelita (Sanchez) DeLeon.
He worked in the oilfield most of his life.
Ramon retired and raised vegetables in his garden and would sell at local farmers market.
He enjoyed being the announcing auctioneer for special events.
Ramon was a faithful member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Angelita DeLeon; his brother, Benito DeLeon; his sister-in-law, Yolanda DeLeon; and his niece, Mary Magdalene Almaraz.
Ramon is survived by his stepsons, James Jones and wife, Elvia, and Nathan Jones and wife, Kassi; his sister, Carmel Almaraz and husband, Jose; and numerous nieces and nephews, including Julie Hayden and husband, Mike.
Pallbearers were Jose Almaraz Jr., Jerry Almaraz, Nathan Jones, James Jones, Nathan Arbuckle, and Daryl Iselt.
