CHRISTINE MUZNY

A Christian Mass for Christine Liddie Luksa Muzny, 79, will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 17, 2021, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bryan.

Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Bryan.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, April 16, 2021, at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan.

Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.

Mrs. Muzny died on Sunday, April 11, 2021, at Accel at College Station Transition Care and Rehab.

She was born on March 11, 1942, in Burleson County to Tony and Liddie Luksa.

She graduated from Caldwell High School in 1960 and married Joe Muzny that same year on July 6.

She worked in retail for most of her adult life, beginning at Perry Brothers.

From there, she also worked as a waitress for a time before moving on to Cook’s Discount, Fed-Mart, and finally spending the last working years at Walmart.

Even when working full time, she always made time to can/freeze/preserve all the vegetables her husband and son raised.

She loved spending time with her family and friends and taking care of them.

She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Tony Luksa in 2001 and Liddie Luksa in 2009.

Christine is survived by her husband, Joe Muzny; her sons, Joseph Muzny, and Kenneth Muzny and wife, Krista; her brother, Tony Luksa and wife, Lanell; her grandson, Kenneth Zachary Muzny and wife, Miranda; her granddaughter, Laura Muzny; and her great-grandchildren, Aubrey, Canaan and Maverick.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
