Mr. Arguello died on Thursday, July 8, 2021, in La Hincada, San Luis Potosi, Mexico.
Miguel was born on Nov. 28, 1955, in La Hincada San Luis Potosi, Mexico, to Don Pedro and Ignacia Arguello.
At a very young age, Miguel learned from his family roots that farming and ranching would not only be a source of income for his family, but a lifelong passion.
Inspired by the “American Dream,” he migrated to the United States with his siblings. He settled in Caldwell.
On a family trip to his home in Mexico, Miguel met and married the love of his life, Maria Fernanda Ortiz in 1985.
Upon his arrival to Caldwell, he worked in concrete, as a ranch hand and other miscellaneous jobs. He worked full-time for Nagel and Sherman for many years until his retirement.
His main goal in life became uniting his family and helping them to be strong and successful; the true meaning of the “American Dream.”
He was always willing to give advice when needed and he made friends everywhere he went.
Miguel was a man of his word, of strong morals and would give a stranger the shirt off his back. He loved to make people laugh and was always a shoulder you could rely on.
Miguel’s hobbies included gardening, playing the accordion, singing, barbecuing, playing pool, watching his favorite videos and dice. Any activity that brought the family together was what he loved.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Pedro and Ignacia Arguello; his brother, Juan Arguello; and his sister, Petra Rodriguez; and his son, Pedro Arguello.
Miguel is survived by his wife, Maria Fernanda Arguello; his children, Minerva, Rosa, Erica, Miguel, Beatrice, Patricia, Jessica, and Veronica; his siblings, Nicolas Arguello, Rogaciano Arguello, Francisca Arguello-Zapata, and Juan Arguello Castañeda; 26 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
His surviving family members, including his beloved wife will continue to honor his name and the legacy he left behind. Miguel will be missed by his family and friends, but they are comforted in knowing that he is reunited with his son, Pedro in Heaven.
