Funeral services for David Earl Washington, 53, of Caldwell will be held at noon on Saturday, Aug. 14, 2021, at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Caldwell.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to noon before the services, with Rev. Larry Watson Sr., presiding.
Burial will follow at Teals Prairie Cemetery.
Mr. Washington died on Sunday, Aug. 8, 2021.
David Earl Washington was born on Jan. 5, 1968 in Cameron to Merron Van Washington and Johnie Mae (Lockhart) Washington.
He graduated high school and became a truck driver.
He drove for a few companies until Knife River hired him, and he worked for 11 years with them.
David enjoyed life and being with family and friends.
Watching football was his favorite pastime. He cheered for the Aggies and the Dallas Cowboys.
He was preceded in death by both of his parents, Merron Van Washington and Johnie Mae (Lockhart) Washington.
David is survived by his siblings, Henry Washington and wife Linda Washington, Opal Lockhart and husband Arthur Lockhart, Merron Washington Jr., Betty Sheppard, Ruth Washington Grove, and Bertha Taplin and husband Manuel Taplin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Vernon Jones, James Mathis, John Tipton Jr., Price Tipton, Carl Tipton, and Maurice Jackson; Honorary pallbearers will be Tommy Jerkins and Boris Washington.
