SHIRLEY BAGGERLY

Graveside services for Shirley Delois Baggerly, 84, of Chriesman were held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2021, at the Chriesman Cemetery with Pastor Roy Dillard officiating.

Mrs. Baggerly died on Thursday, Aug. 19, 2021, at her home surrounded by her family.

Shirley Delois Woolverton was born in Santa Fe, N.M., on March 11, 1937, to Oscar Woolverton and Thelma (Jackson) Woolverton.

She graduated from Milano High School and married Jack Baggerly on Sept. 30, 1956.

Shirley was a certified nurse’s aide. She enjoyed taking care of people and helping the elderly.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Shirley would grow her own garden and made sure you left her house with a full belly.

The things that brought her the most joy in life was spending time with her family, talking, eating, and being together, be it all of them or only a few.

She enjoyed listening to music and dancing the two-step.

Shirley also loved her wiener dogs, and they miss her very much.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Boyd Baggerly; her parents, Oscar and Thelma (Jackson) Woolverton; her son, Jimmy Don Baggerly; her grandson, Jack Boyce Baggerly III; and numerous brothers and sisters.

Shirley is survived by her sons, Johnny Baggerly, Jack Baggerly, and Billy Baggerly; her daughters, Rosemary Westfall, Debra Wills, and Darlene Dieckert; her sister, Melba Ripple; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family.
