Burial for Annie “Louise” Pillow Rust, 94, of Bryan will be held at Oaklawn Cemetery in Somerville with a private graveside service.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her honor may be made to Hospice Brazos Valley or Crestview Retirement Center or a charity of your choice.
Mrs. Rust died on Saturday, Aug. 21, 2021.
Louise was born April 20, 1927, to Lee and Lydia Russell Pillow.
She attended Lyons and Somerville schools and was a member of the Lyons Baptist Church.
Louise was a lifelong resident of Burleson County.
She married Melvin F. Rust in 1946, and they spent 60 years living in Lyons.
She was a devoted housewife and mother who enjoyed gardening, canning her vegetables and had a love of cooking for her family.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Melvin Fred Rust; her parents, Lee and Lydia Pillow; her siblings, James Edward Pillow, Thelma Schoenberg, Elaine Schoppe, and Mavis Ganske; her nephews, James K. Schoppe and Jack Wayne Neimeyer; and her nieces, Billy Sue Surovik, and Linda June Supak.
Louise is survived by her son, Dr. Ronald Melvin Rust and wife, Candy, of Bryan; her grandsons, Erik J. Rust and Justin S. Rust and wife, Jennifer; and her greatgrandchildren, Barron and Jacklyn Rust, all of Bryan; her nieces, Maxine Ruether and Diane Ganske, both of Brenham.
