Mass of Christian burial will be Saturday, October 30, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Caldwell, Texas with interment to follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
Ricky was born July 15, 1963, in Caldwell, Texas, the son of the late Esteban and Maria Pineda. He was one of 12 children.
He worked for Pioneer Drilling Services for over 20 years as a diesel mechanic.
He loved anything that had to do with engines. He could repair any car or truck and tell you what was wrong with it just by listening to the sound.
After his retirement from Pioneer Drilling, he became disabled but was able to do anything with his disability. He never let that hold him back or keep him from doing what he loved best helping others in need.
Ricky volunteered at the Caldwell Senior Center and Christian Care.
He loved helping people in need. He loved to buy groceries to give to others.
He walked all over town and/or rode his bike around town.
Everyone knew him as Ricky; he didn’t know a stranger.
He loved being around his family whether it was his brothers/sisters/ children/grandchildren/ nieces and nephews. He was always surrounded with love.
He loved his truck, taking care of his dogs, loved dancing, loved Spanish music, played the accordion and loved to grill.
He was always happy to see his grandchildren, great-nieces and nephews and always had some kind of candy or snacks for them. His favorite saying “FOUR FOUR”.
Ricky was loved dearly by his family and friends and they will miss him dearly.
Ricky was preceded in death by his parents, Esteban and Maria Pineda; brothers, Adam Leal and Cruz Pineda; sister, Eva Pineda Torres; nephew, Clayton Pineda; and great-nephew, Joshua Batiste.
