Mrs. Zalesak died peacefully on Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2021, in Caldwell.

Mary Ann was born on June 23, 1924, in Wallis to Ladislav and Sophie Bielec, (Krc).

She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Caldwell, as well as the local SPJST Lodge 88, VFW Ladies Auxiliary 4458 and the American Legion 451 Ladies Auxiliary.

She loved to volunteer at the nursing home, playing bingo and making new friends.

Her favorite pastime was, by far, fishing, however Mary Ann also really loved wildflowers.

Her son, David fondly remembers mowing the yard very carefully so not to disturb any of her favorite flowers, especially the bluebonnets.

Mary Ann was a dedicated housewife, mother, grandmother and greatgrandmother. She is deeply loved and will be sorely missed.

Mary Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Emil Zalesak; brothers, Enos, Frank, and Bill Bielec.

She is survived by her sons, Emil James Zalesak and David Zalesak and wife, Dawn; daughters, Jeanette Martin and Elaine Sullender; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; as well as numerous beloved extended family and friends.
