A memorial service for Gene Branch, 63, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 30, 2022, at Strickland Funeral Home in Caldwell.
Gene was born Nov. 1, 1958, to Kenneth Branch and Bonnie June Branch in Fort Stockton, Texas. He grew up in Uvalde, Texas, where he loved playing baseball and hanging out with cousins and many friends.
After graduating from Uvalde High School, he worked in the oilfield.
He moved to Caldwell, where he worked at Sherman Wire.
After that, he worked at Texas A&M for many years and retired in 2021.
He made many good friends at work, such as his friend “Buddy” and other wonderful friends, Ramona and Lorena.
Gene was loved by all his family and friends. He has a special girlfriend, Karey Fraley, whom he loved with all his heart! They made many trips and good memories together before his illness took him.
He died on July 13, 2022, at home with family by his bedside.
He is survived by his mother; two sisters; two brothers; two sons; and three grandchildren.
