Barbara LaNell Dobson entered her home in Heaven January 25, 2023.
She was born December 29, 1949, in Crosbyton, Texas, to Dude and Rita Brown.
She grew up and graduated High School in Ingleside, Texas.
She worked in the insur-ance business for a short time, then went into the daycare business.
She retired from Guide Stone Financial Group in Dallas, Texas.
She was a birder, and loved to sew, can and bake.
She baked homemade bread (the grandkids fought over every time it was brought to a dinner, trust me you did not want to get between them with the warm bread and butter).
She taught G.A’s and sang in the choir at Temple Baptist Church in Clute, Texas.
She was a proud member of Burleson County Cowboy Church and taught in the children’s ministry, where she fell in love with her class and they loved her back.
She married the love of her life, Greg Dobson, on September 25, 1987, at Temple Baptist Church in Clute, Texas.
She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Greg Dobson; 2 sisters, Nancy Leissner and Connie Costello; 6 children, Sara (Dave) Thompson, David (Bree) Johnson, Paul Johnson, Melissa (Jim) Wheeler, Jamie Dobson, and Tracy (Bill) Kristof; 17 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild, who knew and loved her as Marmee and Grandma.
Her favorite Bible Verse Psalms 136:1 “Give Thanks to the LORD for He is good, His love endures forever.”
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at 4 p.m. at Burleson County Cowboy Church in Caldwell, Texas.
