Last week, the Lady Hornet softball season officially began with a 3-0 loss to Brenham on Tuesday and going 1-1-3 at the NFCA Texas High School Leadoff Classic.
Caldwell hosted one of the tournament sites at Weiss Field.
Against Brenham, the Caldwell offense struggled at the plate, with only Callie Fletcher getting a hit for the Lady Hornets.
