An elderly Burleson County woman was scammed out of $200 after a fraudulent phone call on Monday, Feb. 19.
A man claiming to be from the U.S. Treasury Department claimed she had an outstanding balance on one of her accounts and asked her to pay $1,500 in Apple Gift Cards, Burleson County Sheriff Bill Rios said.
