Burleson County Sheriff Bill Rios said there is now a heavier law enforcement presence on all of the county’s public schools as a precaution due to recent violent attacks around the country.
Rios referenced a gunman who opened fire early Sunday, March 1, at an Austin bar, killing three and wounding 14, as a possible terrorist act, and other violent acts in recent years, including school shootings.
