Hermes takes over as sheriff
A new era in law enforcement has begun in Burleson County with the swearing in of new Sheriff Gene Hermes.
Burleson County commissioners unanimously approved Hermes appointment in a special meeting on Thursday, March 12, and accepted the resignation of Dale Stroud.
