Celebration of life for Cynthia Louise Cooper, 65, will be held for family and friends on April 27, 2024, at the Hessler family home.

She was born on April 10, 1958, in Anchorage, Alaska, in Providence Hospital, and adopted by James (Jim) and Evelyn Knight shortly after birth.

She was married to the love of her life, Charles Cooper (Coop) for 26 years. He passed Feb. 10, 2021.

Cindy’s parents moved because her father was in the Air Force, first from Alaska when she was 18 months old, then to Tampa, Florida, then to Platsburg, New York, then to Harlingen, Texas, and then to Houston, Texas. Houston was her home until 1979.

Cindy then moved to Smithville and later married Coop in 1995.

She loved to fish and hunt.

She drove a school bus many years, then was certified as a CNA and worked in home health.

She loved kids and mostly everyone for that fact.

She died peacefully on March 11, 2024, at Hospice Austin (Christopher’s Home) with sister, Peggy and family and friends at her side.

She is survived by one sister and brother-in-law; two nephews and their wives and five kids, with two on the way; numerous cousins; three stepchil- dren.
