A Celebration of Life ceremony for David Leroy Englemann, 71, will be held on Saturday, Aug. 14, 2021, at 11 a.m. at Providence Baptist Church at 7770 County Road 243.

Mr. Englemann died unexpectedly on Aug. 1, 2021.

David was born on July 21, 1950, to Russell and Ruby Englemann.

He attended Cooks Point School and graduated from Caldwell High School in 1968.

He continued on to graduate from Texas A&M Engineering Service Heavy Equipment School in 1969.

David worked in the automotive industry as a mechanic and loved helping people.

He was employed by several auto businesses until he opened David’s Auto Center in Caldwell.

David was an avid hunter, fisherman, sport shooter and knife collector.

He was a member of Brazos Valley Desperado posse, Cowboy Action Shooting, and competed as a .22 Rifle Silhouette shooter.

David was also very active in his faith and church, Providence Baptist Church, where he attended for his lifetime.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Ruby Englemann.

David is survived by his aunt, Peggy Strong of Bryan; his brother, Richard Green of Caldwell; his nephew, Nathan Green of New Ulm; his niece, Melanie Mcilhany of Boerne; his great-niece, Haylee Green of Hallettsville; and his cousins, Sherry Englemann Massey of Caldwell, and Becky Englemann of Bryan.
