The Caldwell Hornets defeated Central Texas Christian School last Friday 7-1 in Temple to improve to 8-4.
The Hornets rebounded from a 7-6 home loss on Tuesday, March 11, to Killeen Chaparral.
Against CTC, Caldwell took control early with a 3-0 lead in the first inning and built a 5-0 lead going into the top of the sixth.
Caldwell finished with 6 hits and 2 errors, and CTC had 2 hits and 7 errors.
