Hornets surge early, fall to Giddings, Bellville
The Caldwell Hornets had strong early starts last week but were worn down in the second half in a 62-39 road game at Giddings and a 69-49 home loss to Bellville.
Caldwell fell to 12-19 overall and 2-7 in district play. Against Giddings, Caldwell led 15-14 in the first but trailed 2923 at halftime.
Giddings controlled the second half with a 15-6 third quarter run and an 18-10 fourth quarter edge.
