Three persons were injured and transported to area hospitals on Tuesday, July 30, when a truck crashed into a tree off State Highway 21 near F.M. 1362.

The accident occurred at 2:02 a.m. when Anthony Grupy, 29, of Fort Bend, was westbound in a white, 2017 Ford F-150 pickup about 600 feet east of the F.M. 1362 intersection, according to a report by DPS Trooper Matthew Blevins.

Grupy began to leave the road and went into the west bar ditch, struck a culvert which caused the truck to go airborne, and struck a tree with the right, rear quarter panel, the report stated.

The truck came back onto the ground on the right side, struck a fence and mailbox and them came to rest upright -- causing extensive damage to the truck.

Grupy was traveling with a front seat passenger, Adrian Nolasco 25, and back seat passenger Adrian Arevalo, 46, according to the report.

The report stated that all three suffered nonincapacitating injuries and were transported by ambulances to hospitals.

Grupy and Nolasco were transported to Baylor Scott & White Hospital in College Station, and Arevalo was transported to CHI St. Joseph Health Center in Bryan, the report stated.
