A Brenham jury found Coy Wayne Cass, 24, of Caldwell guilty of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon last week in connection with the 2017 death of Kyle Smith in a traffic accident on County Road 377, and he was sentenced to three years in prison.
The six-man, sixwoman jury found Cass guilty on Wednesday, March 11, in a jury trial, moved from Burleson County on a change of venue.
