Tax rate remains 56 cents, but county will bring in additional revenue
Burleson County commissioners approved the final budget of $10,558,539 for 2020- 2021 and a 56-cent tax rate at their meeting on Monday, Sept. 14.
The budget is an increase of $561,383, 5.6 percent, from last years budget of $9,997,156.
While the property tax rate remains the same as last year, property values have increased for the county overall, and the county will bring in more revenue.
