The Somerville City Council on Tuesday, Jan. 12, approved an engineering contract with Strand Associates of Brenham for the Eighth Street rehabilitation project. This is the first step in the process to begin the bond projects approved by voters in the November 2020 election. Voters approved $1.5 million in street, drainage and sewer improvements.
