Somerville ISD is moving forward with making needed facility improvements.
On Wednesday, Jan. 15, the school board approved issuing $1.5 million in maintenance tax notes from Amegy Bank of Texas from Houston for financing facility improvement needs around the district.
A maintenance tax note does not require voter approval and proceeds may only be used for renovation and equipment.
