A fire destroyed the home of Oscar and Linda Slovacek late Sunday night, Jan. 26, on 267 County Road 265 in Snook, but they were able to get out of the house without injury. The cause of the fire remains unknown, but no foul play is suspected, said Beth Collins of the Snook Volunteer Fire Department. The fire was toned at 9:19 p.m., and Snook and Beaver Creek volunteer firefighters responded. …
