The Burleson County Tribune received three awards on Friday, Aug. 28, at the Texas Gulf Coast Press Association’s annual contest.
The Tribune received a first place in news writing, second place in headlines and a third place in news photos.
It was the fourth consecutive year that the Tribune had placed in at least one category in the annual awards.
The awards were presented in a virtual meeting due to COVID-19 concerns. The convention was originally scheduled for Aug. 27-29 in Sugar Land.
TGCPA includes newspapers from around the Gulf Coast, Central and South Texas.
