Anna Maria (Schurer) Dilling, 94, of Snook, died peacefully on Sunday, Nov. 8, 2020, with her family by her side.

She was born on May 5, 1926, in Tubingen, Germany, to Friedrich Schurer and Marie Sixt Schurer.

Anna was a strong and independent woman who loved her German ways.

She was known for not sugar-coating things and had a knack for telling it like it is.

Anna lived in Kansas City, Mo., where she obtained her U.S. Citizenship before moving to Snook, Texas.

Anna was passionate about her sewing and was a seamstress with many talents.

She loved to clean, draw and cook German food for her family, especially the grandkids.

You would always find the television on the news channel. She loved world events.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Harvey Ulysses Simpson; her second husband, Darrell James Dilling; her sisters, Marta Bolz and Emilie Hersche; her son-in-law, Daniel Lee Jozwiak; and her greatgrandson, Anthony Walter Scott.

Anna is survived by her daughters, Helen Missy Vajdak and Donna Maria Jozwiak; her granddaughters, Charity Renee Vajdak and Jennifer Lynn Jozwiak; her great-grandchildren, Cayla Renee McCord, Skylar Dionne McCord, Marcus Lee Scott, Logan Lorene Brewer, and Jaden Wayne Brewer; and her great-great-grandchild, Chloe Joy Conerway.

She was loved by many and will be missed by family and friends.

A celebration of life will be held in her honor at a later date.
